As Mother’s Day approaches, my heart swells with love and gratitude for a very special woman in my life: my Mother-in-law, Virginia Sasso. This year, we celebrated her 90th birthday in a way that filled the room with joy, love, and memories to cherish for a lifetime.
The birthday bash was a testament to the incredible woman Mom Sasso is. With over 60 people in attendance, spanning generations of family and friends, it was a true celebration of a life well-lived. We spared no expense in making the day as special as she is. The 90 photos on a reoccurring loop had Virginia with almost everyone that was at her party. These photos were enjoyed by all and were filled with many beautiful memories of her life.
From the delicious meal to the lively tunes played by a talented DJ, every detail was carefully selected to honor Mom Sasso. The room was adorned with flowers and decorations, and a beautifully decorated sheet cake featuring Mom and her four grandchildren was the sweet centerpiece of the festivities.
One of the highlights of the evening was a performance by a Frank Sinatra/Tony Bennett impersonator, who serenaded Mom and added an extra touch of magic to the night. But perhaps the most touching moments were when Mom took to the dance floor with each of her three sons, including my husband, John.
The love and admiration for Mom were amazing throughout the night. Family and friends shared heartfelt tributes, both written and spoken, expressing their gratitude for her presence in their lives. It was a beautiful reminder of the impact she has had on so many.
As the evening drew to a close, Mom shared with me that it was the best party she had ever been to – a sentiment that filled me with immense joy. And as we approach Mother’s Day, we will continue to celebrate her, looking back on all the photos and videos from her special day with love and fondness.
To all the mothers out there, whether it’s your own mom, your mother-in-law, or yourself, I wish you a Happy Mother’s Day. May your day be filled with love, laughter, and cherished moments with family. And to Mom Sasso, thank you for being the incredible woman that you are. You are loved more than words express.
