She’s So Lucky!

Quality Time with  My Mother-in-Law

luckI hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July! I spent the holiday a little differently this year with a special getaway to Foxwoods Resort & Casino alongside my incredible 91-year-old mother-in-law, Virginia. It was such a fun, memory-making trip.

From the moment we arrived, it was all about quality time. We talked, laughed, ate delicious food, and of course we played the slots! Now, Virginia is one lucky lady. She hit on her birthday numbers—4-23—and won $423 before dinner. And if that wasn’t enough, she won another $400 after dinner! Meanwhile, I walked away with a $61 win and was genuinely thrilled.

At one point, I had to lovingly pull Virginia away from the machines so she wouldn’t give her winnings back to the casino. Instead, we capped the evening with an incredible 3-hour dinner at Prime Steakhouse. We both started with rich, savory bowls of French onion soup. I ordered a juicy prime rib served with a giant 1lb baked potato, while Virginia enjoyed a perfectly roasted half chicken. We also indulged in dessert: chocolate cake, cheesecake and cotton candy.

This trip was more than just a fun getaway; it was a reminder of how lucky I am to still share moments like this with her. Virginia is sharp, full of life, and such a joy to be around. I’ll be smiling about this little adventure for a long time. Here is why these days meant so much to me. Virginia is the most loving, caring and giving person that I know. She makes me feel appreciated, cared for and loved. At the end of the day, that is quality time.

Virginia calls Foxwood her part-time job and she knows exactly how to play the slots to win. If you are feeling lucky and want to give coaching a whirl, I would be happy to spend 15-minutes of quality time with you to help you achieve your career goals. You can book time on my calendar. On this “mini-consult”, you can share your biggest career (or personal) challenge and I’ll help you get unstuck.

Remember that just last week we just started the 3rd quarter. It is amazing that half the year is behind us, but there’s still time to let me help you achieve goals for 2025. You still have half a year to go. I am here for you. I would love to help you to be as lucky as Virginia.

With gratitude and best wishes!
