“Reach high, for stars lie hidden in your soul. Dream deep, for every dream precedes the goal.” -Pamela Vaull Starr
By now you have probably realized that I really enjoy sports, the teams and the players. It was truly my honor to meet with and get my photo taken with “Big Papi,” Boston Red Sox player David Ortiz.
I felt like a mushroom next to him. He is really a nice guy and he talked frankly about his life, the other players and all his past coaches. He is my favorite ballplayer and I could always count on him to make contact with the ball.
Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. We have sports heroes like “Big Papi,” we have wartime heroes and we have heroes in our own families like our dads and husbands. Anyone that knows me knows that my dad will always be a hero and a role model to me. A very Happy Father’s Day greeting to all the Dads on this listing.
The point of this post is to share: Who are your heroes? Who do you look up to and admire? Who has traits and characteristics that you strongly believe in? Who is a role model in your family and in your community?
Dream deep, for every dream, precedes a goal. That was the Red Sox and after 86 years (since 1918) they finally won a World Series in 2004. Then they did it again in 2007 and they won a third World Series in 2013. I believe that any of this is possible if you want it bad enough and if you follow your heart.
With gratitude and best wishes,
