“Thanksgiving is a time of togetherness and gratitude.” – Nigel Hamilton
Don’t you just love the month of November? The leaves are falling, we still have incredible weather, and everybody seems to be happy and grateful. It’s such a beautiful time of the year!
And with Thanksgiving coming up, here’s what I’m thinking about right now: There’s a lot to be grateful for in life. We can all be thankful for our family, food, shelter, heating—and the list goes on. Those are just a few big things.
Thanksgiving is my very favorite holiday. It’s all about gratitude. It’s the one holiday each year that is about the “3 F’s: family, food and faith.” How about you? Do you fully enjoy this holiday with your family? Do you host this holiday meal? Do you offer a blessing for the good year that has passed?
As for me and my family this year, we have a lot to be thankful for. Just this month, John Robert has played the role of Billy Nolan in the musical “Carrie” at Landmark. He also choregraphed two musicals: “Seussical” (for 6-12-year olds) and “Matilda” (for 8-18 year olds). He has proven that not only can he act, sing, and dance but that he can also choregraph musicals and get paid for his efforts. He’s only 15, but he knows what he wants to do. Not only are we grateful for our son, but also for his many gifts. He continues to amaze us.
What are you thankful for? Now is a great time to stop and reflect. Thank you for being part of my community. I am grateful for you. Thanks for reading my Monthly Motivational Messages and for sharing my messages with others.
We can—hopefully, all of us— also be thankful that we are now seeing and enjoying our families more.
Whether or not you are hosting the holiday, I hope you will enjoy your holiday weekend. Be grateful for the food and for your family.
Wishing you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving!
