Advances in Cardiology – Interventional Technology in 2022

In this Forum, you will hear from leaders in interventional cardiology who are developing technologies to overcome challenges in treating cardiovascular patients. These include imaging, drug delivery, biomarkers for COVID-19 related clot formation, and structural heart disease. Hear and meet these leaders in CV disease diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Albaghdadi is an accomplished physician-scientist with a background in engineering and pre-clinical testing, and device innovation. He has developed many cardiovascular technologies including intravascular imaging modalities, macro- and nano-drug delivery systems, biomarkers in COVID19-related thrombosis, and structural heart disease.

Medical Director, Heart LifeLine Alliance, Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Saint Louis, Missouri

Dr. Higano is Medical Director of Heart LifeLine Alliance, formed in 2008 in partnership with rural hospitals, medical helicopter and ambulance services to provide emergency services for rapid evaluation and treatment of heart attack patients. He will speak about how new technologies are helping to overcome challenges in interventional cardiology.
